Some Wikipedians have formed a project to better organize information in articles related to North Carolina. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians. If you want to join, simply help out and add your name to the Participants.

This WikiProject is aimed at improving and adding quality articles about and relating to the people and State of North Carolina. The ultimate goal is to get articles nominated as Good Article or Feature Article Status.

- Review Article for Creation on C.D. Spangler Jr. (submitted 10-23-2007) to see if it's up to snuff. (Apologies if this isn't a good place to ask.)
- Expand any information on North Carolina military history. All mentions of it seem to disappear after the descriptions of forts and the new submarine. I'd like to see something deeper.

- Expand Lexington Barbecue Festival. Just started, added some photos, will have many more photos on tap soon (I went to the 25th today, my first). Grammar and fluidity are not my specialty, photos and sources are. Also working on a separate article on this 25th in user space, if coverage warrants it. In general, would like to see more work on NC culture. I have a ton of pictures of the USS North Carolina from 5 years ago, I can up them if someone wants to expand that article as well. Please see my comments on the Booker T. Spicely article. The murder and the fire were the same night, and arson is not impossible. But there is no record whatever of a "riot"--it confuses an event that occurred in Durham in 1943 Thanks.
