- In fact, the use of commas isn't standard all over the world, which is why it's normal in the physical sciences to use spaces between the groups of three numbers. There is a (quite heated) debate going on at the moment about this very subject at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style (dates and numbers)#Delimiting numbers if you want to join in. Hi - I think you used to be Dharma6662000 - is that right? Anyway, I have rewritten most of the article Germ (mathematics) in a way that (I think) incorporates what's in the map_germ article. Would you be happy with replacing that map_germ page with a redirect? (I think the main difference is just that map_germ assumes the source and target are manifolds, whereas I don't, but I don't think that makes it more obscure.) - The map germ article does seem to be contained in the Germ (mathematics) article, and the latter seems to be a much better article. I think that map germ article should be replaced with a redirect. Δεκλαν Δαφισ (talk) 10:59, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
