SAS Shoemakers was started in 1976 in San Antonio, Texas. The company specializes in men's shoes, women's shoes, and handbags. They are a family-owned company which manufactures all of their shoes in the United States. The company does not sell shoes directly over the internet, but are available via snail mail and telephone; shoes are offered at other retail stores in more parts of the country. Factory tours at the San Antonio factory are available. They are known for having shoes available in hard to find sizes.[citation needed]
