Prospect is a United Kingdom trade union which represents engineers, managers, specialists and scientists in both the public and private sectors. It was formed on 1 November 2001 by the merger of the trade unions the Institute of Professionals Managers and Specialists (IPMS) and the Engineering Managers Association (EMA). As of 2009[update] it has 102,000 members, the president is Catherine Donalson and its General Secretary is Paul Noon.
Prospect has endorsed a merger with the Connect union, the union for managers in the communications sector.
