Nuwa is a fictional character, a mutant in the Marvel Comics Universe. Her first appearance was in X-Force Annual #3.

[edit] Fictional character history
She was a member of the MLF under the leadership of Reignfire; until he betrayed Nuwa to the Chinese government.[1]
When the events of M-Day occurred, where the Scarlet Witch removed the mutant genome from over 90% of the world's mutant population, Nuwa was one of the few to retain her powers.
She is now resurfacing in San Francisco where she confronts the mutant Boom-Boom.[2]

Can cause biomolecular feedbacks within human anatomy, releasing a tranquilizing wave that sedates her victims. More a state of drowsiness than a real sedation, the effects of her powers can actually be warded off by assuming preventively strong amounts of stimulants, like caffeine.
