Newari Dance consists of the whole array of dances that are traditionally performed by Newars.

The Newar dances can be classified as

• Traditional Masked dances

1. Lakhay dance (the most popular one is Majipa Lakhey dance performed by Ranjitkars of Kathmandu),
2. Astamatrika dance
3. Navadurga dance
4. Pulukisi dance (elephant dance),
5. Sawabhakku,

• Folk Dances

1. Jyapu dance,
2. Kumar pyakhan,
3. Daitya pyakhan,
4. Tekanpur dance

• Ritual Dances

1. Charya dance (the most eminent Charya dancer is Master Prajwal Vajracharya currently running his former Nepali institute Dance Mandal in Portland, Oregon, USA)
