[edit] Environmental issues

According to scientists, Romania's drinkable water production may fall below demand by 2025, due to river pollution.[1]

Only 57-58% of Romania's population has access to safe drinking water. For comparison, the Sub-Saharan African median is 57% and all industrialized countries have figures of 100%.[2][3]
