Jose Carlos Diaz (born April 15, 1987 in Napa, California) is a professional footballer who currently plays for Ferencvarosi TC as a forward in the eastern group of the Hungarian National Championship II.
Diaz played with the U-20 United States men's national soccer team, and previously with the U-15 Mexican national football team. He played two years of college soccer for St. Mary's College in Moraga, California, on a full-ride soccer scholarship. In 2006 he played in all 20 games and made 16 starts as a sophomore - his 10 points was second on the team. He played in 17 games as a true freshman, and was second on the team with 15 total points and was named to the All West Coast Conference First Team, leading the league in assists in 2005 as a freshman - his 11 assists set the single-season school record. Graduated from Vintage High School in Napa, CA in 2004 and was named the team MVP and was a First Team all-league selection.
During his college years Diaz also played with the San Francisco Seals in the USL Premier Development League.
