A with diaeresis (majuscule:Ӓ, minuscule:ä) is a letter of the Cyrillic alphabet currently used in the Khanty, Kildin Sami, and the Mari language. Also, this letter was once used in the Gagauz language.

In Kildin Sami, Mari, and Gagauz language this letter is or was used to represent the near-open front unrounded vowel, /æ/.

Also, the letter is now used in Khanty language to express the near-open central vowel, /ɐ/.
