[edit] Name misnomer
Although the station's name refers to the "2 Boroughs" of Burnley and Pendle, the station also covers Hyndburn. Additionally, the station is known colloquially as "2 Bloody Records" owing to its tendency to replay the same music throughout the day, causing once liked songs to lose their appeal[citation needed].
Broadcasting stations in the United Kingdom do not use callsigns, but as "2" is a prefix assigned by the ITU to callsigns in Great Britain, 2BR is technically a valid radio callsign in the U.K.
