The 1994 San Diego Chargers season began with the team trying to improve on their 8-8 record in 1993. It ended with a loss in Super Bowl XXIX loss to the San Francisco 49ers. As of 2008[update] it is the only time the team has made the Super Bowl. The team wore throwback uniforms for one game during the season.
